Terms of Service

Last updated 22 June 2026

In plain English: VisibleFront measures how visible your local business is to AI assistants and gives you a hosted, machine-readable profile so those AIs get your facts right. The free scan is free. A paid subscription (billed through Stripe, per location, monthly or annual) adds the public profile, listing help, monthly rescans, a dashboard guide, and an optional booking button. Two honest promises shape these terms: your AI Visibility Score is a measurement, not a guarantee of any ranking, traffic, or bookings; and your public profile shows only the facts you confirm. You are responsible for the accuracy and lawfulness of those facts and for being authorised to act for the business. We own our platform, methodology, scores, and the AI Visibility Index (which we publish as open data under CC BY 4.0); you keep your own content and let us display it. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.

1. Who we are

These Terms of Service govern your use of VisibleFront. VisibleFront is operated by VISIBLEFRONT LTD, a company registered in England & Wales with company number 17288404. Our registered office is at 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom.

Our public site and brand is VisibleFront, at visiblefront.com. You can reach us about these terms or anything else at hello@visiblefront.com. In these terms, “VisibleFront”, “we”, “us” and “our” mean VISIBLEFRONT LTD, and “you” means the person or business using the service.

By using VisibleFront, including requesting a free scan or opening an account, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

2. What the service is

VisibleFront measures how visible a local business is to AI assistants such as ChatGPT, Google Gemini and Perplexity. We do this by asking those assistants the kinds of questions real customers ask, and scoring how often the business is recognised or recommended. The result is an AI Visibility Score on a scale of 0 to 100.

We offer a free AI-visibility scan with an emailed report. We also offer a paid subscription that includes a hosted, machine-readable public business profile (at a web address of the form /b/[slug]), help correcting and propagating the business's listing data, monthly rescans, a dashboard with an AI “guide” or concierge, and an optional booking button.

We also publish a public “AI Visibility Index”: monthly, city-by-city rankings of local businesses by AI visibility. The Index is described further in the Intellectual property section below.

3. Eligibility and your account

To use VisibleFront you must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract. VisibleFront is a business-to-business service and is not directed at children.

If you claim, edit or publish a business profile, you confirm that you are authorised to act for that business. You are responsible for the business facts you confirm or publish, including their accuracy and lawfulness.

Owner accounts use an email address and an authentication session (provided through Supabase Auth), with the option to sign in with Google. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for activity that happens under your account. Please tell us promptly at hello@visiblefront.com if you believe your account has been used without your permission.

4. The free scan

Anyone authorised to act for a business may request a free AI-visibility scan. To run it and send you the report, we collect the business name, the city, and your email address. We will email the resulting report to that address.

The free scan is provided as-is, for your information. It is a snapshot of a probabilistic measurement at a point in time, and it carries the same honesty caveat as the paid score described below: it measures visibility, it does not guarantee any outcome.

We may rate-limit free scans to keep the service available and to prevent abuse. How we handle the personal data involved in a scan is set out in our Privacy Policy.

5. Subscriptions, billing, renewal, cancellation and refunds

Paid subscriptions are billed through Stripe, our payment processor. You can choose monthly or annual billing, and you are billed per business location. Current plans and prices are shown on our pricing page and may change with notice.

Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period until you cancel. You can cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the billing period you have already paid for, and you keep access until then.

Fees are non-refundable except where a refund is required by law. We do not store your full card number; Stripe processes your payment details, and we receive your subscription status and related information from Stripe. Your use of Stripe is also subject to Stripe's own terms.

6. The AI Visibility Score is a measurement, not a guarantee

This clause matters, so we state it plainly. The AI Visibility Score is a measurement of a probabilistic system. It is calculated by averaging repeated runs across multiple AI engines, and it reflects what those engines answered at the time we measured.

The Score is not a guarantee of any ranking, placement, traffic, bookings, revenue, or any other business outcome. AI assistants change their answers over time, which is exactly why we re-measure rather than promising a fixed result.

We choose to under-claim rather than over-promise. We help you put accurate, well-structured information in front of AI assistants and measure how that lands, but we cannot and do not control how any AI assistant answers.

7. Your content, accuracy, and the honesty gate

Your business profile content - the services, prices, opening hours, address and phone number you confirm or edit - is your content. You are responsible for making sure it is accurate, up to date, and lawful, and that you are authorised to publish it.

We apply an honesty gate: your public profile shows only the facts you have confirmed or edited. We do not publish unconfirmed facts to your public profile on your behalf. This keeps the public profile aligned with our honesty principle and keeps you in control of what is shown.

The AI guide or concierge in your dashboard may propose information, but it does not silently publish facts; what appears on your public profile is what you have confirmed.

8. Intellectual property

VisibleFront owns the platform, the measurement methodology, the AI Visibility Scores, and the AI Visibility Index, together with all related software, designs and trademarks. Nothing in these terms transfers that ownership to you.

You keep all rights in your own business content. By publishing it through VisibleFront, you grant us a licence to host and display that content as part of providing the service, including on your public profile and in machine-readable form so that AI assistants can read it.

The AI Visibility Index is published as open data under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) licence. You may reuse it under that licence, including commercially, as long as you attribute VisibleFront.

9. Acceptable use

When you use VisibleFront, you agree not to:

  • Use the service for any unlawful purpose;
  • Misrepresent yourself or impersonate any person or business;
  • Make fraudulent attempts to manipulate AI Visibility Scores or the Index;
  • Abusively scrape or harvest other businesses' data.

10. Third-party services and booking requests

Some features rely on third-party services. Payments are handled by Stripe, and if you choose to connect a Google Calendar, that connection is provided by Google. Those services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies, which apply to you in addition to these terms. We are not responsible for third-party services beyond our role in providing VisibleFront.

Booking requests submitted through a business's public profile are passed to that business so it can respond. Where we handle booking-request information on a business's behalf, we act as that business's data processor; the business is the controller of that information and decides how to respond and use it.

11. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

VisibleFront provides a measurement and marketing service. We are not a medical, legal, or financial adviser, and we do not provide professional advice of any kind. Nothing on a profile, in a report, in the dashboard, or in the AI guide is professional advice, and you should not rely on it as such.

Subject to the paragraph below, the service is provided as-is, and to the maximum extent permitted by law we exclude implied warranties and limit our liability to the maximum extent the law allows.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes any liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.

12. Termination

You can stop using the service at any time, and you can cancel a paid subscription as described in the billing section. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these terms, particularly the acceptable-use rules, or where we are required to by law.

When your account or subscription ends, your public profile may be taken down. We keep data after termination only as described in our Privacy Policy: while needed to meet legal, tax and accounting obligations, after which it is deleted or anonymised.

13. How we handle your personal data

VISIBLEFRONT LTD is the data controller for the personal data it handles through the service, under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect, why, the lawful bases we rely on, who processes data on our behalf (including Cloudflare, Supabase, Stripe, Resend, OpenRouter and Google), international transfers, retention, and your rights - including the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office. For any data request, email hello@visiblefront.com.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify users. Continued use of VisibleFront after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page shows when the terms were last changed.

15. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of England & Wales. The courts of England & Wales have jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or in connection with these terms or the service.
